Up for bids is my spectacular 1st issue 1976 Gibson Thunderbird. As many of you know not many of these basses were made and still fewer have survived intact without cracked or repaired headstocks. This is a true 1976 Tbird with 00 serial number, later issues in 1977 and 1979 had different serial numbers. The neck on this bass is one of the straightest of any bass I've ever owned, neck never broken, truss rod works fine, and frets in good shape. The neck is super thin with a slight v shape, low action, plays amazing, and best of all sounds like a freight train. Nothing can compare to the sound of these highly coveted basses. As expected there are a few very minor scratches and nicks on the back which can be seen in the picture provided and the strap buttons have been moved for better balance. I've also added a genuine Gibson ebony finger rest for looks. There may have been a slight repair around the input jack but it's so hard to see and only in the right light I want to mention, it's so hard to see most people wouldn't even notice. Of course if there was a repair it affects the bass in no way. 

The bass will be shipped in the hardshell case pictured via Fed Ex only to the lower 48 states. Sorry no international bidders. No bidders with 0 or negative feedback, I may end this auction early as I have it posted locally.

It breaks my heart to sell this bass but times being tough I need the money. It's been my stage bass and used a handful of times most notably when my band opened for Deep Purple at The Warfield in San Francisco. DESCRIPTION: This auction is for a Used 1973 Gibson Les Paul Triumph Recording Bass with original hard-shell case.  This bass is 100% original.

CONDITION: This bass guitar has been played but is in perfect working order. There are some dings and scratches on the bass guitar as shown in the photos.  The pick guard on this bass has a few cracks.  Also, where the pick ups screw into the pick up rings is cracked.  I super glued the one.  At some point somone moved the strap buttons and put new holes in.  This is no big deal and it fairly common in old Gibson bass guitars.  The original hardhsell case is included.  The case is pretty beat up, but it's a case so it's doing it's job.  Please look at the photos.

Gibson SG Reissue Bass Guitar (Heritage Cherry)

Gibson's classic dual-pickup SG-style bass from the 1960's has returned as the SG Reissue. With its short scale and slim neck, the SG Reissue is the "fastest bass in the Gibson family."

I am the sole owner of this two-year-old mahogany bass purchased in December, 2009. It is in immaculate condition. Meticulously cared for and in near-perfect condition. Professionally maintained by Luthier. Some minor "lines" on the back of the bass from my belt, but the cherry finish is not compromised. This bass is just beautiful. It has the Gibson original strings, but will include include D'Addario Flatwounds that were previously on it. Sounds great with flats. Great playability for guitarists who also play the bass. This is the same bass used by Paul McCartney's guitarist, Brian Ray, in "Good Evening, New York City." It sold for $1399 in December 2009, and is still being sold for the same amount today.  I have strap locks on, but will include the original strap pins, if you'd like.

For sale is a 1976 Gibson Thunderbird bass guitar. This is the special bicentennial model with the white pick guard and red white and blue Gibson emblem. In REMARKABLE shape for its age. Very very minimal wear.

In 1976 Gibson reissued the Thunderbird, in its original early 60s body shape, and seeing as 1976 was the 200th anniversary of American independence, it is known as the bi-centenial model, or Thunderbird '76. Although this bass was modelled directly on the 1963 Thunderbird, with a through neck and reverse body shape, there were some changes to the original design; most notably the new 3 point bridge, which appeared on most Gibson basses of the period.

Neck is straight as an arrow with perfect intonation, frets are smooth and dont have any divots, tuners turn smoothly an bass stays in tune.

1967 Vintage Gibson EB-3 Bass!
In Pelham Blue Re-fin!

Comes in Original Gibson Case!

You are bidding on an absolutely stunning 1967 Gibson EB-3 bass in Pelham Blue re-finish!
This bass is 100% original (except for re-fin. and a couple of screws) with every solder joint untouched (see pics), original 'PAT NO' black label pickups, original 1966 dated pots, original tuners, knobs, bridge etc.

The finish is almost MINT and free of any checking or discoloration which suggests the bass has been re-finished. It appears the original finish was Pelham Blue as well.

This bass is in PRISTINE, near MINT cosmetic condition (see pics) other than two small nicks in the edge.
No breaks, cracks or repairs. Electronics work as they should, and have plenty of output power.. Awesome powerful sound!
Fretboard and frets are in MINT condition as well! The neck is straight, and has a nice rounded profile. Action is GREAT. Original frets show close to no wear.

The EB-3 is the "Big Brother" of the EB0, and again a true design classic. Few basses are as easily recognized as the Gibson EB3!
Back in the day, the EB-3’s most famous proponent was the great bassist, vocalist, and songwriter Jack Bruce. Jack’s work in Cream was a mind blower...
This bass has a very unique sound. The tone is "FAT", warm with lots of bottom end. It can have a nice growl....

Jack Bruce, the bass player with Cream is famous for his EB3 bass playing in the mid to late 1960s, and it was also used by his friend Felix Papilardi of Mountain, Chris White of the Zombies, Bill Wyman of the Rolling Stones and Andy Fraser of Free.

Peak production years were 1969-1971; around about 2000 guitars shipped in each of those years, and it was a flagship model throughout the 18 years of its production.
